Social Media

Nothing gets along as well as Fashion and Technology. These ten sites are on the lips of the hippest people everywhere. The most essential to building a brand will be the most obvious ones and of course there is always room for a brand to explore on the newer more obscure apps that are always popping up.

1. Youtube  - This is an amazing way to get the brand out there, you can get millions of fans with just one post that is sent through the right channels or it can simply be by word of mouth. Gareth Pugh has made the most amazing films for Fashion so far with a famous director, Ruth Hogben.

2. Facebook - Every brand needs a Facebook page we might not admit it but most of us are always on it. Brands can post about sales, new collections and whatever news they need to get into the online sphere immediately.

3. Instagram - All of my favorite designers have Instagram accounts and I stalk them religiously, best place for behind the scenes fashion images and the closest the public comes to the designer.

4. Tumblr - This is like a blog but better, the layout is flawless and you can add to it as much or as little as you like. Perfect for mood boarding and color sampling.

5. Twitter - Any witty remarks or great behind the scenes fashion shots can go a long distance here as well. making the right connections and not becoming overcrowded is essential for effective use of Twitter.

6. Foursquare - People can check in at stores restaurants and the like, would be especially used during a trunk show or an event to create buzz.

7. Polyvore - Building outfits with clicks instead of ransacking a fitting room or your closet, this makes it easy to see what goes with what for what event especially if you are planning shopping for the season.

8. Pinterest - People may pin what they like so having working images up for them to choose is important for any brand.
9. Bloglovin - A great place to keep up with your favorites, there are articles and images and anything more fashion you could want if you have a tailored list of blogs you subscribe to.

10. Style.com - There is not much social interaction here but this is where runway photos are first posted so serious shoppers and fashion people will be interested to find the brand here.
