RVN GIRLS NEVER DIE

For Me
I know I would very much enjoy the knit pants from the most recent collection. I do wear alot of black and I feel these would add a lot of impact to some Normcore outfits that I have been wearing over and over. I dress by a uniform method and these would fit in with that perfectly, also I would wear them out for drinks or an event they are so special. With the right shoes I feel I could be deadly in these pants.
Favorite Designers
This is the most difficult because I love so many. I have chosen the ones I most respect in the business.
Tom Ford - He has been my favorite since I was young, I worked under him the summer I interned for Gucci and I think its this sentimental reason that he is my favorite. I also love his good manners which seems to be a dead art.
Marc Jacobs - He is a dynamo and he went to Parsons as well, he is very admirable in his business savvy and I respect that he was able to complete collections for Louis Vuitton as well as Marc Jacobs for so many years.
Michael Kors - An american institution now, his handbags are beyond popular and I respect their simple sturdy and chic design, sometimes I mistake Michael Kors items for something much more expensive.
Ralph Lauren - Another american institution he has created an entire legend around his clothes and that is very impressive branding. I hope to be as clever as he is.
Oscar De la Renta - The quintessential dressmaker he can do no wrong. Everything he creates is sublime in color and design, so elegant and for refined women only.
Betsy Johnson - She is in every mall in America and has a cult following, she has been in the business for years and I remember going there for party dresses and my first pair of high heeled boots when I was practically a child.
Phoebe Philo - Her restrained chic is undeniable but she really makes out with her amazing accessories, I have loved her stuff since she was at Chloe.
Stella McCartney - I have also loved her since she was at Chloe which seems ages ago now. I respect her strategy that played out during the Met ball red carpet between her gaggle of girls and the colorful and graphic formal wear, I think she might have won that evening.
Carolina Herrera - Everything she does is divine, I love her stores and she puts a major dosage of elegance in each and every garment. The accessories though not prominent are very fine and desirable to someone like me who shys away from logos.
Muiccia Prada - How could I not mention her, I almost never prefer her runway shows to these others but when the products come out they are just beyond fantastic and I pine after them for months at a time. I am coveting a pair of black satin flats from the Fall 2014 collection.
Social Media
Nothing gets along as well as Fashion and Technology. These ten sites are on the lips of the hippest people everywhere. The most essential to building a brand will be the most obvious ones and of course there is always room for a brand to explore on the newer more obscure apps that are always popping up.
1. Youtube - This is an amazing way to get the brand out there, you can get millions of fans with just one post that is sent through the right channels or it can simply be by word of mouth. Gareth Pugh has made the most amazing films for Fashion so far with a famous director, Ruth Hogben.
2. Facebook - Every brand needs a Facebook page we might not admit it but most of us are always on it. Brands can post about sales, new collections and whatever news they need to get into the online sphere immediately.
3. Instagram - All of my favorite designers have Instagram accounts and I stalk them religiously, best place for behind the scenes fashion images and the closest the public comes to the designer.
4. Tumblr - This is like a blog but better, the layout is flawless and you can add to it as much or as little as you like. Perfect for mood boarding and color sampling.
5. Twitter - Any witty remarks or great behind the scenes fashion shots can go a long distance here as well. making the right connections and not becoming overcrowded is essential for effective use of Twitter.
6. Foursquare - People can check in at stores restaurants and the like, would be especially used during a trunk show or an event to create buzz.
7. Polyvore - Building outfits with clicks instead of ransacking a fitting room or your closet, this makes it easy to see what goes with what for what event especially if you are planning shopping for the season.
8. Pinterest - People may pin what they like so having working images up for them to choose is important for any brand.
9. Bloglovin - A great place to keep up with your favorites, there are articles and images and anything more fashion you could want if you have a tailored list of blogs you subscribe to.
10. Style.com - There is not much social interaction here but this is where runway photos are first posted so serious shoppers and fashion people will be interested to find the brand here.
Bloggers
Bloggers are a recent but already beloved addition to the Fashion landscape, we all have our personal favorites and some are very influential and are known to wear the pinnacle of designer clothes mixed with whatever they have lying around. These bloggers are those that I think have the best taste and would be in the RVN audience. There are other influential bloggers like Tina Craig whom I feel is not as edgy as the RVN woman.
1. Manrepeller.com - Leandra Medine is my personal favorite she is witty and nutty a great combination
2. SongofStyle - Amy Song looks great in anything has a knack for mixing
3. Fashiontoast - Rumi Neeley California babe with the most enviable closet on the West Coast
4. Theyallhateus - An Australian duo that actually curate collections for retail every month
5. SomethingNavy - she mixes high and not too low very well I love her in Australian labels
6. WhoWhatWear - great articles and up to the minute celebrity news
7. TheCoveteur - a peek inside famous closets
8. BryanBoy - another funny and ubiquitious man who looks handsome in Anything including womenswear
9. SeaofShoes - a very spirited youth in great designers, the most amazing hair
10. 5inchandup - a remark on her footwear and she is faithful to it, great shoes all the time
Print Media
Women all over the world are obsessed with fashion magazines, especially those women that wish they could dress and act just like celebrities. The list will reflect the top ten in no particular order.
1.Vogue - This is a bible for almost every woman and girl I know since the age of twelve or thirteen. It is ubiquitous and would be a possible coup for getting the clothes into editorial content as well as advertising.
2. Paris Vogue - The vogue that fashion people like and take seriously according to me.
3. CR - This is a new new magazine only devotees read I believe because of the price as well as the weight.
4. Bazaar - This audience is on par with Vogue but not as large and far reaching, most fashion conscious women read both.
5. Elle - This is also a must read for most fashion conscious women but focuses more on lifestyle and casual editorials with celebrity's.
6. Nylon - A young audience of independent women that follow the music scene closely.
7. WWD - Look book or runway photos and fashion news for people in the business of Fashion, a well placed article here would do much for credibility.
8. ID - Another more avant guard magazine that is on the cutting edge, with models and artists and all of their content
9. Marie Claire - Centered more on women's lifestyle but sometimes useful for the shopping content, a smart educated audience.
10. inStyle - A shopping bible for each season, serious shoppers buy or subscribe to see whats new with the low to high market.
Celebrity Fashion
There is a very long list of celebrities that might further the RVN agenda by wearing the clothes and supporting future expansions into lifestyle and accessories. I will make a list of big names as well as street style stars that make everything they wear look good.
Rihanna
Beyonce
Lana Del Rey
Iggy Azalea
Lil Debbie
Yo Landi
Allison Mosshart
Kate Moss
Sarah Jessica Parker
Diane Kruger
Kate Bosworth
Cara Delevigne
Olivia Palermo
Lauren Santo Domingo
Anna Della Russo
Giovannia Battaglia
Rosie Huntington Whitely
Miranda Kerr
Guiliana Rancic
Nicole Richie
Allessandra Ambrosio
Alexa Chung
As you can see this list is very long indeed, and this is not even including the important bloggers that we all know and love. I would suggest a strategic approach such as making stage clothes for a few of the bigger names. Or even a few of the smaller ones for a less in your face and subtle stalking technique.
We could easily get in touch with the publicists for each of these superstars.

RVN improvement
I already see RVN is using knits technology to create fabulous garments. The only improvement that I would suggest is to pursue the technology angle even further with lasers and heat machines for accessories. Maybe also a simple additional collection very edited consisting only of soft tees and draped pants much like T by Alexander Wang. There are so many things to explore and RVN is just at the beginning. It is the most exciting now because there is a whole new world out there for fashion pioneers such as ourselves.
My skills are in design and sales and also vision. I am a valuable member of any team that is creating garments and accessories and pieces that people would like to own and to wear. I was a very high end personal shopper before Parsons and I know how to dress not just people but their bodies as well. Before that I worked as a Sales associate on the floor in Saks and had weekly and monthly goals to meet, I have made some very big sales and I prefer to work by appointment only. As a sales professional I am very focused on developing a clientele and I spend much of my time in touch with clients, helping and guiding them through all their needs.
